SNAP/EBT cards and WIC vouchers

The Camas Farmers Market now accepts electronic benefit transfer cards, also known as EBT cards, for market products. Also new this year, market vendors will accept WIC family and senior vouchers. Please come by the market information booth for more information.

To our EBT/SNAP customers: We encourage you to stop by our market Information Booth with your EBT cards. There, you can swipe your card, select the balance you would like to spend at the market, and then receive $1.00 wooden tokens to purchase fresh produce and other products from our vendors. Some restrictions apply; please talk with our market booth staff for more information.

About the Wireless Technology Farmers Market Pilot Project   -  Support for this project has been provided by the Washington State Legislature’s  “Local Farms/Healthy Kids” initiative and the Washington State Farmers Market Association. The Clark-Cowlitz County Farm Bureau has also contributed support to our market to towards costs associated with this project.

The intent of the pilot is to increase access to fresh, high quality locally grown foods through Washington State farmers markets for all Washington residents.  Data collected during this 2 year pilot project on the amounts and number of the various electronic payments will be used to measure tangible benefits to participating markets in the future.
